Directions

Amicus II is docked in the "Lagoon” at the Knife River Marina. The Knife River Marina is located seven miles south of Two Harbors, MN and fourteen miles north of Duluth, MN on the Scenic North Shore Drive.

From Two Harbors: (15 min. from town)
Take the Scenic North Shore Drive south to the village of Knife River (about 7 miles).
Cross the Knife River Bridge and turn Left (toward the lake) on Marina Rd. Then (see below)

From Duluth: (30 minutes from downtown)
Take the main highway (61), out of Duluth. Once on the freeway, go 15 min. and take the exit to Knife River (green sign). Go straight down until the road ends on the Scenic highway. Take a right on the Scenic. Cross the Knife River Bridge and turn Left (toward the lake) on Marina Drive.

Then, either way:
Follow Marina Rd. across the railroad tracks to the marina. Just before entering the marina, veer right onto the gravel road (marked "NO OUTLET").
Go 100 yds. and take the first left into the gravel parking lot. Park anywhere in the gravel lot (not on the grass by the boat).

Amicus II - the big red sailboat - is docked in the lagoon on the right side of the parking lot. Park and walk through the grass down to the boat.
